Law firm Sedgwick has added a team of six insurance attorneys to its London office. Three partners and three associates have joined the firm, expanding its offering to the re/insurance community.
Edward Smerdon becomes the managing partner of Sedgwick's London office. Smerdon’s insurance and reinsurance work includes coverage disputes, non-contentious product development and transactional work, with particular emphasis on liability insurance/reinsurance.
In addition, Mark Kendall and Tristan Hall join as partners. Kendall’s practice incorporates policy coverage and disputes, product development and wordings, as well as international dispute management and UK litigation. Hall focuses on insurance and reinsurance disputes, particularly in relation to claims made under financial institutions, directors and officers and professional liability insurances in the UK and worldwide. All were previously with Reynolds Porter Chamberlain.
Also joining as associates are Lucy Dyson, Jason McNerlin and Duncan Strachan.
