Our expertise includes:
Coverage advice/disputes – we provide coverage advice and deal with coverage disputes across all classes of insurance and reinsurance business on behalf of the London and International markets.
Dispute resolution – we are experienced in all forms of dispute resolution, whether that be negotiation, mediation, arbitration or court proceedings. Our aims are simple: to protect our clients’ position but to assist, not hinder, the resolution of their dispute.
Executive Liability – we act for insurers or reinsurers in relation to claims relating to a variety of high value executive liability work, in particular brokers E&O, Directors & Officers, and financial institution cover.
Property damage & business interruption – we advise on all types of high value property damage and business interruption insurance and reinsurance contracts, across a wide range of industries including commercial, construction, distribution, engineering, energy, industrial, manufacturing, mining, leisure and retail sectors.
Reinsurance recoveries – we are experienced in the recovery of reinsurance collections from recalcitrant reinsurers, whether live or in run-off and whether in the established reinsurance markets or more far flung jurisdictions. We are commercial and flexible as to the funding of such recovery programmes, particularly where it involves aged or low level balances.
Wordings – we are experienced in the review and drafting of all forms of insurance and reinsurance policy wordings. We are also skilled in the drafting and review of commutations, policy buy back, settlement and release, standstill, indemnity and confidentiality agreements.
